A Denver native and a graduate of South Denver High School and the University of Northern Colorado with a B.A. in Accounting. While at UNC John was a member of the Varsity Track Team.
After a five-year stint in the Accounting field, John began his real estate career in 1972 and has consistently been among the top Residential Brokers in the Metro Denver area.
In 1988 John merged his real estate company, The Ansbury Company, with The Kentwood Company, and assumed the role as Broker/Managing Partner for 25 years until the sale of the company to Berkshire Hathaway. After the sale John returned to his passion of residential brokerage, still being a personal broker to his many past clients.
Over the years John has developed a National reputation in the Corporate Relocation industry and has attended countless conferences expanding and sharing his expertise.
John has always maintained a keen interest in new homes and community development and has learned that industry from the ground up. He is frequently called on by Custom builders to consult and evaluate their projects.
A 28-year resident of Cherry Hills Village he and wife Sue have two grown children and enjoy their four grandkids. We’ve loved watching them grow and attending their games and events.
Charlie Fitzpatrick, age 19, a freshman at the University of Alabama, really enjoying the south and college fraternity life. Misses Vail skiing.
George Fitzpatrick, age 16, and All-State lineman at Cherry Creek High where he is a Junior. One of the top-rated football recruits in the nation, so far, he has 25 full ride football scholarship offers from Division One colleges.
Kaitlen Larkin, age 15, a sophomore at Cherry Creek High, plays on the Girls’ softball team, and golf team. An excellent skier loves Steamboat Springs.
Conner Larkin, age 14, 8th grader at West Middle School. An excellent athlete plays competitive level baseball year-around. Enjoys Steamboat ski slopes.
In his free time, John loves getting outdoors to enjoy activities like running, skiing, golf, and water sports at their Cape Cod Summer Home. John also enjoys spending time in his personal Irish Pub, that he created several years ago, in his basement! His pub, known as “Fitz’s Pub,” features an imported antique bar and is a great place to display his extensive Single Malt Scotch collection.
